As a photographer I try to capture not only the peak expression of the dancers skill set, but also the passion and love of movement that often translates to the dance itself.
A dancer should be free and unrestrained, yet the challenge as a photographer is being required to do the opposite and capture a dancer in time and letting that pause tell the story while still respecting the discipline and emotion of the dancer.
